Dr. Carla M. Marrero-Vázquez is a highly experienced pharmacist with over sixteen years of expertise spanning retail, hospital, and managed care settings. Specializing in Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Population Health, Value-Based Care, and Managed Care, she consistently demonstrated her ability to drive significant improvements in patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Carla previously led MTM operations for one of Puerto Rico’s most extensive Medicare health plans, where she was instrumental in achieving and maintaining a 5-star CMS rating and successfully leading the NCQA accreditation for Population Health Management. Most recently, as Pharmacy Operations Director, she oversaw the integration of pharmacy services into clinical programs, enhancing care coordination, cost management, and medication-related initiatives such as Stars measures and pharmacy utilization reviews.
In her new role as Vice President of MindfulRx, Carla leads strategic initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery through innovative pharmacy solutions. Her leadership is marked by successfully implementing tailored programs that address the evolving needs of healthcare partners, patients, and providers.
Carla holds a Doctor in Pharmacy degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. She continues to drive impactful changes in the healthcare industry through her commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
